Little Harbour is an absolute gem. The wind was up at 25-30 knots at times but there is place for a modest number of yachts to snuggle in to the easterly corner and enjoy a totally protected position, oblivious of the conditions outside. One of the few places in the BVI where it made sense to “Med Moor”.
We met next door neighbours Milos and Marie Bednarik(ova?) on their Irwin 43 and spent some pleasant sundowner evenings together having a sip, admiring the sunset and opining on solutions to the world’s problems.
They have been coming to this spot for 20 years but are now selling up (you can buy their lovely Irwin on BVI Yachts Sales website) and returning back to the Czeck Republic to spend more time with family. They have inspiring stories to tell of coping with living in and then escaping from a harsh communist regime as youngsters.
A scramble up the hillside provided some glimpsed views of Windward at anchor and some interesting land crabs, a caterpillar and tree orchids.
