We cleared in at Sopers Hole and found it pretty much out of business from the hurricanes. The Customs folks were bravely carrying on in a tent on the shore next to the ruins of the Customs and Immigration building.
We spent a few days at one of our favourite anchorages beyond the Caves on Norman Island, waiting for a weather window for the crossing to Bonaire.
The coral and fish life at the Caves was quite impacted by the hurricanes but we were pleased to see obvious signs of the coral re-growing and plenty of particularly smaller fish flourishing.
At the Indians, across the Bight from the Caves, the coral and fish life had fared very well and the hurricane damage was less evident.
