Reaching St. Barts, we anchored off in Anse du Colombier on the North West Coast. When we dingyed around to Port du Gustavia to clear in, it was apparent that anchoring at Colombier was a good call – the port and its surrounds were chock-a-block with yachts from super yachts through top end racers, cruisers, local boats and the unbelievably still afloat live-aboards.
Back on the yacht we had a pleasant sunset braai accompanied by some stunning sunset views.
Easter Saturday was a bit overcast so we took the opportunity for a hike across the island from Anse du Colombier to Port Gustavia. Had some nice views of Windward anchored out in the bay with Ile Fourchue in the background. Walked back via another beach for a swim and a chat with the prolific local tortoises.
More stunning sunsets. An interesting old wooden sailing boat with a French flag of the type that you see in Brittany and Cornwall.
When I blow up you pictures larger they are fabulous!
